Now when you sit and look at the specifications between the two phones there is not a lot of difference really, ok the new model has 3G and yes it has built in GPS, but other than that not really much in the way of major changes.
Personally I prefer the old iPhone with the brushed steel casing better than the iPhone 3G’s plastic casing, the plastic casing is supposed to give you better signal, well that is what they say anyway.
Since the latest iPhone firmware update that the old iPhone has had allows you to connect to the Apps Store so that you can download many applications which must admit is pretty cool indeed, the update also allows you to delete multiple emails amongst other things.
If you put the two phones side by side look by look spec for spec my personal choice would have to be stick with the normal iPhone unless you want 3G and GPS, other than that not much difference between the two.
Both phones have downsides and that is since the latest firmware update many devices are experiencing problems of freezing, lagging and complete shutdown. If you want the 3G you will have to wait a long time as demand is high and stock is scarce.
So what iPhone would I choose? Well that is simple because I still have the old iPhone, I am in no rush whatsoever to buy the iPhone 3G, there is one reason and one reason only why I would get the iPhone 3G and this is solely so I can review it for Phones Review for our readers to read.
